Damn!! Now tell us how you really feel... Seriously, though, you're right. I do suck. We all "suck" from time to time. We just don't put it quite so bitingly...
hmmm.. I like it- shamelessly bold and direct. I guess "you suck" could be put as you're fallible, imperfect,or faulty; but that really doesn't hold quite the same punch. I like the idea of exposing man to his wickedness, even though it knocks us down a notch on our little ladders. It left me wanting a sequel though. Yes most will admit we suck, so what should we do? Or is it more about the guilt of not measuring up to your expectations on society?---"But what is even worse, is I suck too."
yeah, i was definitely looking to make an impact, and based on your reactions i guess i did okay...as for a sequel? i dunno...i wasn't planning on one...it was a kind of spur-of-the-moment thing, like most of my writing...i'll definitely think on it though...
This reminds me of a post I was going to publish back in Ms. O's blog except it was about a girl who'd been verbally abused and those were the things her "friend" had called her. And, he did, in fact, suck.
at least your aknowledging the truth the cold hard truth. By the way I like the poem, it's nice to see someone's brave enough to tell it how it is.
